Tim loved history, loved Magnolia, and above all, cherished his Costello heritage and family. He was an integral part of several projects, most notably our Vince Costello project. He was proud of his Uncle Vince and loved sharing stories and information about Vince’s time on and off the field. His work as a referee, his involvement in construction, and his friendly, approachable demeanor behind the bar at Tozzi’s made him a familiar and beloved face. “He was a friend to many and will be missed by all,” the society concluded, extending their deepest condolences to his children, siblings, family, and friends. “Magnolia isn’t going to be the same without him.”
In addition to his community contributions, Tim’s influence extended to the Sophia Capo Memorial Foundation. “It is with heavy hearts that we remember our dear friend, Tim Costello,” the Foundation shared. “For the past eight years, Tim has been an essential part of the Sophie Bowl family, helping coordinate officials and making our tournament possible. More than just the person behind the whistles, Tim believed in our mission, showed up with a servant’s heart, and greeted everyone with a warm smile. His infectious personality made game day even better.”
The Foundation also highlighted Tim’s generosity, compassion, and unwavering support, emphasizing how his presence impacted many lives. “His legacy of kindness will never be forgotten. We are incredibly grateful to have known such a genuine, selfless person. Our deepest condolences go out to his children and family. Rest easy, Tim.
