Eric Lynch Car Accident, Harrington DE Obituary, Third person dies after June 26 crash

The Delaware State Police announced Tuesday the death of Eric Lynch, the driver involved in a tragic traffic collision in Milford on June 26, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Lynch, 36, of Harrington, was the driver of a Ford Mustang that was involved in a fatal crash while traveling westbound on Milford Harrington Highway.

According to police reports, the incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Milford Harrington Highway and Church Hill Road. The Ford Mustang was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection when it collided with a Nissan Rogue that had just turned right onto Milford Harrington Highway from Church Hill Road. The impact was severe, causing the Nissan to rotate, overturn into a utility pole, and burst into flames.

Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and pronounced the occupants of the Nissan deceased. The victims were later identified as Mark Yancey, 60, and Jana Yancey, 62, a married couple from Yorktown, Virginia. Their deaths marked a tragic loss for their families and the community.

The investigation revealed that the Ford Mustang was traveling at a high rate of speed, which contributed to the severity of the crash. Authorities confirmed that Lynch was injured in the collision and transported to a medical facility. Sadly, Lynch succumbed to his injuries on July 1, nearly a week after the accident.
